Saudi Arabia’s Ports Authority (Mawani) has added a new shipping service, which will connect Jeddah Islamic Port with Mundra Port in India and the Port of Djibouti, to enhance logistics services and trade connectivity on one of the world’s busiest maritime corridors.

The new service will be operated by Emirates Shipping Line at Jeddah Islamic Port, linking Saudi Arabia’s largest Red Sea port with India and Djibouti.

The route has a carrying capacity of up to 2,144 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

Plans are on to boost Saudi Arabia’s position in global logistics, besides encouraging the growth of national exports.

The launch of a new route also aligns with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s National Transport and Logistics Strategy. – editor@nrifocus.com
