In yet another shocking incident of crime, an NRI couple from Kerala – both working as nurses in Kuwait – was found dead with knife wounds, in their home located at Abbasiya.

Suraj Kuzhiyath John (39) from Kannur and Bincy (35) from Ernakulam were married for 11 years, and have two children, who are in India with their grandparents.

John and Bincy had returned home that morning after finishing their night shift. Neighbours say they heard a verbal fight between the two, after which they had allegedly stabbed each other with knives. Investigation reveals that John had called up his friends to say Bincy was dead and that he would also have to go.

The couple had returned from India only two days ago after their Easter holidays. They were planning to migrate to Australia soon.

Police and forensic teams are completing the legal procedures, including autopsy, before repatriating the couple’s mortal remains to Kerala. The funeral is expected to take place at St. Jude’s Church, Mandalam, Kannur. – editor@nrifocus.com
