Alvin Prakash Kunder, a man from Karnataka’s Udupi district, was found murdered in Sharjah recently, after his family in India raised concerns about him being unresponsive to their calls and messages.

The police got into action when they found Kunder’s body dismembered and packed into two bags. The bags were placed inside a car. Kunder was employed at Sharjah Airport for the past 14 years.

Sharjah Police are investigating the case, even as Kunder’s mortal remains were brought to his native Honnanakere in Kundapur taluk, Karnataka. The final rites were performed at the Protestant CSI Krupa Church following special prayers at his house.

Kumar Kodgi, former MP Jayaprakash Hegde, and Urban Development Authority chairman Vinod Krasta attended the funeral.

His brother, Anil Prashant Kunder, is keeping track of the case as the motive and those involved in the murder remain unclear.

The victim’s wife and teenage son have been missing eversince the murder came to light. Police are investigating from various angles – whether the entire family was abducted or the spouse and son are involved in the crime. – editor@nrifocus.com
