NRI customers of IDFC FIRST Bank can now make UPI (Unified Payments Interface) payments, linking NRE and NRO accounts to their international mobile numbers.

The facility, which is accessible on the IDFC FIRST Bank mobile app, does not incur any transaction fees and is available for NRI customers across 12 countries.

The bank’s NRI customers in the US, the UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Australia, France, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore, can benefit from the new facility.

The feature, which supports INR-denominated transactions within India, enables NRI customers to link their accounts to third-party UPI apps also. – editor@nrifocus.com
