The US, the UK, Canada and Australia renew their travel advisories to warn citizens about the security situation in the Middle East remaining unpredictable. The advisory urges travellers to be prepared for flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions

The sessions covered the enhancement of consular services, the exchange of expertise and best practices, the adoption of modern technologies, and support for digital transformation efforts, particularly in the field of academic qualification verification

"US forces struck Iranian military targets including maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage ​facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and air defence assets," the ​US Central Command said in a statement

An alert by the US State Department said: 'Due to heightened tensions in the Middle East, the security environment remains complex with the potential for unforeseen escalation. Americans outside the Middle East should reconsider travel to and through the region. Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise caution and heightened vigilance and should be prepared for possible flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions'
