The US, the UK and Canada have updated their travel alerts, urging travellers to check airline schedules and review official safety guidance following renewed military strikes in the Middle East.

The notices mention destinations such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Jordan as being in the war zone, where flight cancellations are unpredictable.

Several services between the UAE and Kuwait have already been cancelled.

The US Embassy in Kuwait has advised Americans to reconsider travel to the country.

The UK notified that Kuwait International Airport operated through Terminals 4 and 5 only, for Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways; Terminal 1 was closed.

Canada alerted its citizens to travel to Kuwait only if very necessary.

The US Embassy in Bahrain urged Americans to stay vigilant and run for cover on hearing an explosion or emergency siren.

The US advised Americans to avoid travelling to Saudi Arabia, where the risk of war escalation was rampant.
