ADNIC gets license to operate from India’s GIFT City

In line with its international expansion strategy, UAE-based Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company (ADNIC), has received the license to operate in GIFT City, India’s first International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) in Gujarat.

This development for ADNIC, a multiline regional insurance provider, highlights the company’s position as a regional insurer with an expanding international footprint.

ADNIC receiving the license to undertake reinsurance business from GIFT City will be effective from April 1, 2026,

Charalampos Mylonas, Chief Executive Officer, ADNIC, said, “Receiving the licence to operate in GIFT City represents an important milestone in ADNIC’s international growth journey. ADNIC has been providing insurance and reinsurance coverage worldwide, operating from offices across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the UK. ADNIC entered the Saudi Arabia market recently.
