Newly formed NRI Forum Karnataka Bahrain will be inaugurated in Manama on Jan.10

NRI Forum Karnataka Bahrain (NFKB), a Karnataka government-registered entity, will be inaugurated on January 10 at Indian Club Ground of Manama.

The new NFKB committee’s oath-taking ceremony will take place on the inaugural day, followed by cultural programmes, in the presence of esteemed guests from Karnataka and Bahrain.

In the wake of the event, Raj Kumar, president, NRI Forum Karnataka Bahrain, said, “The event will begin at 5.30 pm. A cultural programme will be held after the formal event. The main aim of the forum is to protect the Kannadigas in Bahrain. NFKB is dedicated to fostering cultural and social connections among the people of Karnataka residing in Bahrain. The forum aims to create meaningful platforms for engagement and networking among Kannadigas in Bahrain while working towards the welfare of the 25,000-strong Kannada-speaking community in the region. To achieve its objectives, NFKB collaborates with the Karnataka government, the Indian Embassy, and other organizations to promote the interests of Kannadigas abroad.”

The event, which is expected to attract 2,000 participants, will see the participation of prominent personalities, such as the speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly U.T. Khader, minister of culture Shivaraj Thangadagi, Member of Parliament Kota Srinivas Poojary, vice chairperson of Karnataka NRI Forum Arathi Krishna, president of SCDCC Bank, Mangaluru Dr. Rajendra Kumar, president of Mysore Mercantile Company Dr. H.S. Shetty, and president of Nidhi Nirmana Mangaluru Prashanth Poojari. – editor@nrifocus.com
