Himalaya Wellness, an Indian multinational personal care and pharmaceutical company based in Bengaluru and operating from regional head offices in Dubai, Singapore and Houston, has a presence in more than a hundred countries.

The company’s global research centre in Dubai Science Park recently had a special guest – Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai.

As a member of the TECOM Group whose business districts feature purpose-built facilities and industry-specific infrastructure, the Dubai Science Park houses Himalaya Wellness, which only last year signed up with Dubai Industrial City for setting up its first manufacturing plant in the UAE. Founded in 1930, Himalaya Wellness’ global research centre operates from a 55,000 sq.ft. facility at Dubai Science Park, from where natural pharmaceutical products, herbal-based medicines, and dietary supplements are innovated and sustainably developed.

On a mission to “develop markets worldwide with an in-depth and long-term approach, maintaining at each step the highest ethical standards”, Himalaya Wellness supports the Dubai Research and Development Program that aims to boost knowledge-based economy and create high-tech jobs.

During his visit, Al Maktoum said, “We are committed to providing the infrastructure, environment and business-enabling support needed to ensure the growth of the research and development (R&D) sector. We aim to create a thriving R&D ecosystem that will enable the nation to remain at the forefront of scientific and technological advancement.” – editor@nrifocus.com
