A third Michelin star, signifying ‘exceptional cuisine’, was awarded to Trèsind Studio, started by Chef Himanshu Saini in Dubai, in 2018.
One of only two restaurants in Dubai that have been awarded three Michelin stars, Trèsind Studio’s highest honour in the culinary world is “a testament to our team’s unrelenting passion and belief in the power of storytelling through food”, said Saini. “We are deeply humbled to receive this extraordinary recognition… Our goal has always been to present Indian cuisine not just as nostalgic but as progressive and worthy of the world’s highest culinary accolades,” he said.
The restaurant, which is currently located at The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, received its second Michelin star in 2023. The Michelin Guide said: “This immersive Indian concept highlights Chef Himanshu Saini’s limitless levels of imagination and creativity. The tasting menu showcases traditional Indian dishes from various regions, re-imagined and superbly crafted into vibrant, eye-catching, and flavoursome creations.”
The 20-seater rooftop space has won many international culinary accolades. It was recently named the second best restaurant in the Middle East and North Africa by the World’s 50 Best rankings.
Trèsind Studio serves a multi-course tasting menu loaded with seasonal ingredients and flavours from across India. “I come from an agricultural family in India. I grew up spending a lot of time around fresh produce, herbs and flowers. This has created an innate inclination towards using locally sourced ingredients, which is organically expressed in our menu at Trèsind Studio. Indian food has so much to offer, with such diversity in the landscape, produce, culture and cuisine. My team and I are passionate about making dishes that we enjoy savouring, dishes that we want to share with our guests,” said Saini. – editor@nrifocus.com
