At a meeting held by India and the UAE in New Delhi, officials representing both the nations discussed growth of bilateral trade.
The Joint Committee under Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) examined India’s views over importing items such as silver, platinum alloy and dry dates from the UAE. India pointed to the sharp increase in UAE exports and urged the Arab nation to “verify compliance to the rules of origin norms”. The UAE responded favourably, agreeing to look into India’s concerns.
