The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism has called on the public and media to verify information and rely only on official sources.
This announcement was made in connection with information that could be accessed by the public on different platforms, which had reports and claims on the imposition of restrictions by the UAE on capital movement. The ministry denied the accuracy of such reports, saying the UAE was committed to policies of economic openness and the free movement of capital. Any claims on the UAE preventing foreign investors from transferring or disposing of their funds may not be true, it said, unless it is from an official source.
