As part of a long-term strategic partnership between the UAE and India, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has extended the visa-on-arrival facility to more number of Indians, fulfilling certain requirements.

Indian nationals holding tourist visas to the UK and EU countries are eligible now to avail of the facility, which was earlier only for those with residence or tourist visas to the US. Also, previously, Indians who had residences in the UK and EU were eligible for visa-on-arrival.

Now, a 60-day visa-on-arrival is also being issued for Dh250 to Indian travellers whose passport and visa are valid for at least six months.

In addition to this, ICP announced an updated fee schedule for services involving visa issuance. For a 14-day entry visa for Indian applicants and their family members, the visa issuance fee is Dh100. The applicants in this case should also hold visas, residencies, or green cards from the US, the UK and EU countries. This visa can be extended by 14 days for Dh250. – editor@nrifocus.com
