Sharjah Airport Authority announced the launch of a new flight between Ahmedabad and Sharjah at a high-level meeting in Dubai. The inaugural flight of SpiceJet Airlines will connect the UAE with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad.
Officials from Sharjah Airport Authority, SpiceJet Airlines and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority were present at the meeting when the announcement was made. “The route will operate five weekly flights, offering travellers more flexible and comfortable options and strengthening air connectivity between the UAE and the Republic of India,” they said.
The decision was made keeping in mind the rising demand for travel, particularly from NRIs and tourists who travel frequently to Sharjah on personal and business trips. – editor@nrifocus.com
