A fake report by a suspicious website is circulating in the UAE. It states that the UAE immigration authorities have temporarily halted the issuance of visas for Indian nationals. A probe revealed that it is not based on any reliable source. The site, www.newsgulf.ae, has not been blocked in the UAE yet.

The report, purportedly written by Jishnu KT, at first glance, could fool any expat, but a closer examination reveals that there is no official source quoted.

According to the report, the measure is “believed to be temporary, and no official notification has been provided regarding the timeline for the resolution of this issue”.

The baseless report went on to say that the decision by the UAE has raised concerns, especially among companies in the UAE that employ many Indian nationals. Employers are unable to obtain visas for their Indian workforce, creating uncertainty about the future of their operations, it said.

The report, without any official comment, went on to say that Indian nationals and UAE-based companies are advised to closely monitor updates from official sources for any changes or developments in the visa issuance process. “Without an official timeline for resolution, stakeholders are urged to exercise patience and follow guidelines provided by relevant authorities,” the false report said.

It added that it “remains to be seen how quickly the visa issuance process will be reinstated and whether any new requirements or procedures will be implemented. Until then, individuals and businesses are encouraged to maintain open lines of communication and seek guidance from official channels to navigate this temporary challenge”.
