Amid the US-Israel-Iran conflict, India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the cancellation of Class 10 board examinations scheduled to take place this month in the Middle East region. A Class 12 exam scheduled for March 7 has been postponed and the revised date would be notified later.

The CBSE has, in a circular dated March 5, informed the heads of academic institutions in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE about cancelling all board exams – scheduled to take place between March 7 and March 11 – for Class 10 students in the Middle East.

Exams that were scheduled for March 2, March 5, and March 6, which were postponed earlier, have also been cancelled. The CBSE has said that the mode of result declaration for Class 10 students in the Middle East will be announced later.

While some Class 10 students have already finished their exams such as Maths, Science, Data Science and English, all the Class 12 students have been advised to follow official announcements and be in touch with their respective schools.
