Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity has confirmed the death of an Indian worker, following Iranian strikes on a power and water desalination facility in Kuwait.

A service building at one of the power stations and water desalination plants was also damaged in the attack.

Describing the attack as ‘brutal’, Kuwait authorities urged residents to rely on any information, whatsoever, only from verified sources.

Ministry spokesperson Fatima Jawhar Hayat announced the death of the Indian worker, saying emergency response teams were assigned to the site soon after the strikes to manage the situation there.

Maintaining the stability and safety of Kuwait’s electricity and water systems was top priority, according to Hayat, who added that every effort was being made to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential services.

Specialised teams worked continuously to set right the damages at the facilities. Operational efficiency across the electricity and water network stays intact, said Hayat. – editor@nrifocus.com
