The untimely death of 32-year-old travel influencer and photographer Anunay Sood on November 6, 2025, at a hotel room in Las Vegas, had left his friends and family puzzled and shocked, needless to say his 1.4 million Instagram followers.
An investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has now revealed that the Dubai resident had died from a possible overdose. According to the police, Sood was in the United States to attend the Las Vegas Concours 2025 about which he had shared updates on Instagram. Sood was staying at the Wynn Las Vegas luxury hotel.
When he failed to wake up, first responders arrived on the scene and life-saving care was promptly given. Sood was unresponsive, and later declared dead.
Though a toxicology analysis and final assessment from a coroner are pending, the LVMPD report that is based on interrogating witnesses state that his passing could be from a possible overdose as Sood and the people with whom he was staying at the hotel had tried to “obtain some narcotics” from a drug peddler. Sood and his roommate, a woman, had allegedly purchased cocaine in the early hours of the day and consumed it before going to sleep. The woman woke up in an hour, but Sood didn’t.
Sood, known for his luxurious lifestyle and travel storytelling, is deeply missed by his fans across the world. Condolence messages from his social media followers have been pouring in since his passing.
The toxicology results that are still pending are likely to throw light on Sood’s mysterious death. – editor@nrifocus.com
