It all began hardly a month ago when Indian actress Sunaina and Emirati YouTuber Khalid Al Ameri shared a post each on their respective social media accounts. Sunaina’s was a picture of her holding a man’s hand. Al Ameri not only liked the post but days later shared a picture of him holding a woman’s hand with both wearing engagement rings. The cryptic posts drew attention as the photos posted by both of them were strikingly similar. What further added fuel to the speculation was Al Ameri’s wife Salama Mohamed confirming their divorce that had happened early this year.

Al Ameri and his ex-wife Salama are popular in the Middle East as content creators of their joint Instagram page and YouTube channel. Quite noticeably there haven’t been any posts from them together for some months. The page is now deleted.The couple has two sons.

With Al Ameri (40) spending a lot of time in India, and his recent post featuring two engagement rings captioned ‘alhamdulillah’ meaning ‘praise be to god’ in Arabic, it is likely that he would soon reveal his newfound love. Actress Sunaina (35), his rumoured fiancée, made her debut in Telugu cinema in 2005 but has a presence in the Tamil film industry. She took to X to say: ‘Hi, I’ve seen some articles going around regarding my last post and wanted to clarify that I am indeed happily engaged. Thank you for all the wonderful messages that are coming in, it means so much (sic).’

Al Ameri and Sunaina have not commented anything about their wedding though sources say it would be this year. – editor@nrifocus.com
