Dubai Internet City (DIC), a neighborhood and an information technology and business park created by the Government of Dubai, has partnered with India’s National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) to foster cross-border talent development.
As a member of Dubai Holding subsidiary TECOM Investments, DIC will guide Nasscom members to gain a foothold in the community by setting up business operations and driving technological innovation.
The agreement, which sketches a framework for technology transfer and focuses on investment for companies from both countries, was signed in the presence of Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice-President, Commercial, TECOM Group, and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City. “Our partnership with Nasscom empowers the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators to build upon the UAE’s and India’s shared success story,” Al Malik said.
The partnership, which comes with an array of benefits to Nasscom member companies, will enable Dubai Internet City and Nasscom to explore opportunities to support joint research and development projects.
Dubai Internet City has a community of more than 3,500 customers, while Nasscom has over 3,000 member companies.
Shivendra Singh, Vice-President and Head of Global Trade, Nasscom, said, “This agreement is a pivotal step in accelerating market access for Indian tech companies in the Middle East, a region we view as a critical growth driver for our industry.” – editor@nrifocus.com
