A 44-year-old woman, Chandraprabha Singh, residing at an apartment complex in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, North Carolina, has been arrested for attacking her husband with a knife. One of her versions is that her husband came in the way and injured himself, while she was preparing breakfast.

According to the husband, Arvind Singh, his wife had got upset seeing the house in disarray and charged at him for not keeping it clean. “She purposely attacked me with the knife,” he told the police.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools district has suspended Chandraprabha with pay, pending the outcome of the case, as the arrest warrant said that she “unlawfully, willfully, feloniously” cut her husband’s neck. When the police reached their house on a complaint received from an anonymous source, Arvind Singh was already at the hospital.

Chandraprabha’s bond was initially denied by the magistrate, but she was let out later on condition that she does not contact her husband. She would have to wear an electronic monitoring device while on this conditional bail of $10,000. – editor@nrifocus.com
