NRI-run firms top list of non-Emirati companies joining Dubai Chamber of Commerce

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in its latest analysis, revealed that Indian-owned businesses topped the list of non-Emirati companies joining the chamber in Q1 2025.

During the three-month period, a total of 4,543 new members from India joined the chamber, highlighting the significant economic role played by Indian companies in Dubai’s business landscape.

Pakistan stood second with 2,154 new companies, and Egypt third with 1,362, registering as members of the chamber during the first quarter of the year.

Bangladesh came fourth and the UK fifth with 817 and 678 new companies respectively.

Syria stood sixth with 462 new member companies, while Jordan came seventh with 350 new companies.

China ranked eighth with 347 new companies, Türkiye ninth with 329, and Iraq tenth with 303 new companies.

Regarding the sectoral distribution of new member companies during Q1 2025, the wholesale and retail trade sector stood first, accounting for 36.2% of new registrations. Real estate, renting, and business services secured the second place, recording 35.4%. The construction sector came third with 16.7%, the social and personal services sector fourth with 7.7%, while transport, storage, and communications came fifth on the list with 7.5%. – editor@nrifocus.com
