Gulf leaders congratulate PM Modi on his third term

Leaders of the Middle East nations, including Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have sent congratulatory messages to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his election victory.

The UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed had personally sent his congratulatory message on X on June 5.

On Sunday, the Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal conveyed thanks on behalf of Prime Minister Modi to the Middle Eastern leaders.

He thanked the Foreign Ministry of Oman for the wishes extended by Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to PM Modi.

“Thank @FMofOman for the wishes extended by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to PM @narendramodi on his election victory. PM conveys his gratitude to His Majesty.

“India looks forward to working together with the government of Oman to further strengthen and deepen our age-old civilizational bonds.”

The MEA spokesperson also conveyed the thank you of PM Modi to the Qatar Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

“Thanks @AmiriDiwan for the greetings extended by Amir, HH @TamimBinHamad & Deputy Amir, HH Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani to PM @narendramodi on his election victory. PM conveys his gratitude to HH Amir and HH Deputy Amir.

“India eagerly looks forward to working together with Qatar to further deepen and strengthen bilateral ties in existing and newer areas of cooperation.”

He also conveyed PM Modi’s thanks to the Bahrain Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The MEA spokesperson also conveyed PM Modi’s gratitude to the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry for the message of congratulations from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

“Thank @KSAmofaEN for the warm greetings extended by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince & PM of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to PM @narendramodi. PM conveys his gratitude and warmth to HRH Crown Prince.

“Building upon the strong partnership & great momentum in India-Saudi ties in recent years, India looks forward to achieving unprecedented heights in our bilateral relations in the years to come.”

On June 5, UAE President Mohamed Bin Zayed, who shares a special warm bond with PM Modi, had posted his congratulatory message, in Hindi on X:

“I heartily congratulate my friend @NarendraModi on his re-election as Prime Minister. I wish him success in leading India on further progress and development. Our two countries have a deep strategic partnership. I look forward to continued cooperation aimed at advancing the shared development goals of our countries and our people.”

Thanking him, PM Modi had said: “Thank you dear brother @MohamedBinZayed for your warm words. Building on the high momentum and upward trajectory of India-UAE ties in the recent years, I look forward to working with you to achieve unprecedented heights in the years to come.”

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also conveyed his congratulations.

“President @CyrilRamaphosa, has offered his congratulations to Prime Minister @NarendraModi on his re-election as Prime Minister of the Republic of India, commending him for his dedication and commitment to the people of India.

“President Ramaphosa has also congratulated the people of India on exercising their democratic right and participating in the electoral process, which took place in seven phases from 19 April to 1 June 2024.

“South Africa and India share a Strategic Partnership.
