Developed in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT), the launch of a modern website, which is dedicated to streamline grievance redressal for non-resident Keralites is underway.
The NRI (Kerala) Commission is all set for the launch of the portal that aims to bolster transparency and speed up the commission’s operations.
Commission chairperson Justice (Retd) Sophy Thomas made the announcement at a recent press meet in Thiruvananthapuram.
The exclusive portal has been designed for expatriates to precisely track the live status of their grievances. They can do the follow up also seamlessly. Expats can file their complaints online from their country of residence without having to visit the commission’s office in person. The portal would enable users to access final case orders through a direct download facility.
The commission, backed by the police and NORKA, has successfully addressed several issues of expats, including legal disputes.
In the next two months, the commission hopes to complete its first full round of statewide grievance clinics. – editor@nrifocus.com
