India-UAE cultural ties are on a stronger footing with the staging of ‘Notes from Another Shore’, a month-long exhibition that showcases contemporary Emirati art at Kochi’s historic Durbar Hall. The exhibition highlights the robust cultural ties that bind the Arab world and the South Indian state of Kerala.
Organised by the Abu Dhabi based Rizq Art Initiative, in collaboration with the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi and the Department of Tourism and Culture, Abu Dhabi, the exhibition features a distinguished array of artists and curators.
‘Notes from Another Shore’ features ‘Beyond Emerging Artists’, with Almaha Jaralla, Samo Shalaby and Latifa Saeed, curated by Morad Montazami and ‘Gateway’s Maqam’, curated by Dr. Venetia Porter, showcasing Hashel Al Lamki.
The exhibition explores the dynamic and evolving Emirati art scene, providing a unique platform for cultural exchange and dialogue.
The exhibition, which began on July 26, is set to end on August 18 and is open to the general public and art enthusiasts. Entry is free. – editor@nrifocus.com
